Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to me!

Happy Birthday to me!

Can't wait to go to the Pizza Factory,

And celebrate the big 2-3!

(to be sung to the tune of the happy birthday song!)

I want you all to know that I LOVE my birthday and there are a number of reasons why...

1) June 21st, is the longest day of the year (as far as sunlight is concerned) that mean more time to celebrate!

2) It is right between Christmases!

3) It starts the first day of summer and summer is my favorite season! Hopefully you can see why...

Baseball Is NOT So Friendly

This last weekend Dave decided he wanted to have a home-run derby with he and his buddies. When they were all there the excitement began. I usually pitch, but because it makes me sore, I decided I wanted to catch this time around. As I was headed to the backstop I noticed a ball sitting between the batter and the pitcher. I decided to take a detour and pick it up. When I turned from the path I was on and starting heading into the danger zone, Dave called out warning from the outfield, "watch out honey, I don't want you do get hit!"... you can probably guess what happened next. The pitcher (who I thought would have waited for me to retrieve the stray ball) let it fly, and the batter connected (quite well I might add). At this point I was probalby 15 feet from the pitcher and off to the side a little bit... oh boy did I get nailed. The ball hit me square in the thigh. I blew it off like nothing had happened, but it sure didn't feel pretty, my thigh stung for the next 12 hours. When we were back inside I took a look at the damage. It looked like someone had glued a big bright red cheerio to my leg. The welt was huge and really raised. For whatever reason, the welt was on the outline of a circle, there was nothing in the middle. I would show you a picture, but you don't want to see these pasty thighs. Almost a week later, the welt it obviously gone, but there is a really cool bruise in its place. The bruise in also shaped like a large cheerio, and is really hard. I suppose I am lucky it was my leg and not my face.

Jenn to the rescue

So I am trying to become a savvy blogger but am stuggling quite a bit. In fact, the last blog that I did, I somehow managed to set up without being able to get back in. I tried every combination of user IDs and passwords (that I have ever used in my life) but kept striking out. Jenn managed to retrieve what I had done and set me up a new blog. Thanks a million Jenn.

(Jenn is on the right, I am on the left)

Love at first FIGHT?!?

My sister told me I needed to create a blog and since I don't think it's a half bad idea I am going to try...A little bit about Dave and I...We have been married for a little over a year and and it has been better than I had imagined as a little girl. We met in the 8th grade when he hit me in the face with a dodgeball. At least that is the story I tell everyone, I guess the truth would be that SOMEBODY hit me in the face and I didn't know who it was, nor did I care (it's dodgeball, and if you care, you shouldn't be playing). When the game was over however, the thoughtful little guy came to me and wanted to make sure I was alright. A few years later when all the bruises finally went away:) we decided to get married.
